Defacing a statue of Anne Frank with the message “Free Gaza” is blatant anti-Semitism. It is premised on the association of all Jewish people with the present actions of the Israeli state, including children like Frank who was murdered by the Nazis years before the Israeli state was formed.
Argumento has been going full mask-off.
The use of the word "antisemitism" to silence conversations is really getting tiring. FYI: Antisemitism is the hatred of the Jews, and can include antisemitic tropes like the "Jewish conspiracy" or "blood libel" ones. Anything else, criticizing Israel, criticizing Zionism, criticizing the US, writing "free Gaza" on an Anne Frank statue, even criticizing a group of Jews, as long as its not about them being Jews, is not antisemitism. I will not back down on this.
