Artist, writer, maker. I'm also on Maker Social, but this is my "personal" account where I am probably a bit more of a jackass than over there where I try to be civilized.

I'm not a 50-year-old who lives in his mother's basement.

I'm 53, and this is her attic.

Actually born at around -329400

@evan I’m impressed, proud of you, and a bit envious. Learning has become an uphill struggle for me in my advanced years.

@evan I didn’t watch it yesterday and I probably won’t watch it today either. Maybe I’ll get around to it this weekend?

IT Support: OK the last step in reporting your lost phone is to call Verizon and suspend service.

Me: They want to verify my account by sending me a text on my lost phone...

IT Tech Support: But you won't be able to receive it.

Me: Yes.

IT Tech Support: What do they expect you to do?

Me: Tech Support guys suck, right?

IT Tech Support: ...

Me: You still there?

I was about to run out of letters entirely!

@evan Technology job skills are all rapidly-expiring assets. This shouldn't be new to anyone working in technology. Technology has always been about making there be less work for people to have to do. It's our economic structure that makes "less work to do" an existential threat rather than a blessing.
@foo It's fun having top-of-the-line brand new stuff. It's also fun having stuff that used to be top of the line and is still useful years later. I find buying stuff less frequently and then running it in to the ground very satisfying.
The questionnaire asks whether I've been outside of the United States or Canada.

I mean, I've always been outside of one or the other.
