So is there a way to merge/link accounts across the fediverse yet? Because I post using Threads a lot, while this account has gone dormant.

(And yes, I am allowing Threads to share my posts there to the fediverse — that’s not what I’m talking about.)

@Brilliantcrank @bw @Luke @AnthonyBaker it’s time for another round or two at a local pub. Or the COD game night we talked about.
@Luke will you be at Comicon this weekend at all?

There should be a universal record of facts and occurrences. Like, think Wikipedia but more timeline based than subject based.

You’d think that would be “the news” but the problem with the news is that things must be “newsworthy” to be the news, and given the state of our attention economy… well, you know the rest.

But so, what I’d like is to be able to select, say, Sunday night, read up on all the things that happened in the world, without bias — just facts.

Caught this from the latest edition of @densediscovery in the "Overheard on Twitter" section. This is something to share far and wide, folks. Great point of view.

Dense Discovery – Issue 313

Read the archived version of DD Issue 313. An unmissable weekly collection of carefully curated links worth your time.

Compounding the issues with the UX of the Slack redesign is the hit on performance. Whether related or not, real or perceived, it seems like everything is slower and less responsive. For example, read status of new mentions or DMs almost never works as expected, when I actually read the message. Instead I have to click/tap around for a bit to get it to be marked as read.

Composer — The magic behind the camera

Composer is Opal's video editing camera software. Composer powers up all the capabilities of your camera and help you create the perfect picture, save presets and become a better presenter.

It has come to this.
Last time I used Reddit (6+ months ago?) the leadership was enforcing stupid, anti-user policies. Has anything changed? I haven’t been paying attention but not too proud to say I miss it.
