Playing Game Boy games on real hardware? 🙅♂️
Playing them on a virtual floating Game Boy with Vision Pro? 💯
So I’m always awake at this time as I’m watching to make sure our baby Nice sleeps soundly throughout the night, but as a result have to stay mostly quiet.
That said, I’m trying to find interesting things to do with my time throughout the night rather than binge anime and work the jobby jobs, so I’m interested in streaming the making of personal apps.
Would you be interested in hanging out/watching an app be made in *silence* (with occasional chat for questions) between midnight and 2am PST?
Life is too short,
To spend waiting for spinning rust,
Motivations we contort,
As the new SSDs leave them in their dust.

New apps make their initial debut,
Making us feel young and bright.
While anniversaries come out of the blue,
Our teenage apps thrust into sight.

🎉 I am pleased to announce the first official beta for #CodableDatastore!
CodableDatastore is a pure-Swift, ACID-compliant local database built for apps, focused on supporting value types and concurrency. It has a simple load/persist/delete model, with special support for ranged reads and observing changes.
There is still a lot to do, but all the basic functionality is… functional 😅. Most importantly, I'll officially start using it in my own apps going forward.

A new project once again started,
While an existing one is left behind.
Support for iOS 16 becomes half-hearted,
As the new SDK leaves us unaligned.
