@mattblaze My wife and I travel through Texas in our camper van from time to time. Sometimes the passenger sleeps in the back while the driver grinds the miles.
Once, when she was napping, I drove for over an hour across the vast expanse of North Texas, and for that entire hour at least one turbine was always visible. I wanted to wake her to show her the very scale you are talking about, but I didn't.
@johncarlosbaez We only went once. I believe we visited every building, which gave us a cursory understanding. It is not that big a site.
We left with far more questions than the signage answered. We spent several days after reading histories. These research articles you posted were fabulous in fleshing out some aspects of life there.
