I've set up an automation in Home Assistant which charges our battery whenever the sun has set and electricity rates are negative.
It also lets me charge whenever I want by adding an event to the calendar.
The app which comes with the system has similar controls, but they're not as easy or flexible.
I'm sure loads of people have been doing this for years, but it's all new to me (both the solar setup and HA) so it's still super neat at this point. 😁
