I think it's a huge problem that basically, people who have professionalized their hobbies or arts practices are overwhelmingly the loudest voices in cultural spaces, from gaming all the way to literature or painting. I think they make mercenary judgements in what to talk about and how that mimic the tradeoffs they had to make as a part of that process in a way that excludes so much. It's frustrating but also deeply boring!
