A rant on social media addiction = adhd articles/videos - Geddit
There are lots of articles on the internet always trying to make ADHD into
something that is gained through internet addictions than something that a
person is born with. I keep hearing, “TikTok is making kids have ADHD” or “I
have ADHD because I scroll through Instagram for hours” and etc. The person
probably already had ADHD and TikTok or whatever else didn’t just make it appear
out of thin air, it just made the symptoms more noticable (speaking from
experience.) This has the same feeling as vaccines causing autism or OCD is from
being anal about order and cleanliness. It’s offensive and downright false.
Social media addiction is real, of course and this is not to knock down those
who have it without or with ADHD. It’s just frustrating that ADHD is a scapegoat
for “those damn phones”.

Brave android infinite looping verification on Annas-archive - Geddit
For some reason Brave has been stuck with boot looping Anna’s Archive on
Android. Can’t download from any mirror on some books/files. Have no problems on
Firefox Android. There’s a fix that requires a chrome extension but the android
version of Brave doesn’t allow extensions.
Would these grips make the steam deck easier to hold?

Would these grips make the steam deck easier to hold? - Geddit
I found that if I hold the steam deck using my fingers and upper palm high on
the deck, it creates less strain. This means my palms can’t rest on the lower
half. Would this grip make it better to hold so I can rest my lower palms on
something?
I think it may also be due to the way the handle grips are shaped on the bottom half. My hands feel better with my palms flared out more. The joysticks do stick out a little too much for my liking, though.
The steam deck feels very heavy - Geddit
The steam deck feels very heavy holding it in everyway. It feels the heaviest in
its hand grips. Does that feeling go away? It feels like I’m trying to hold a
laptop.

How do I find news without using Social Media? - Geddit
I have used YouTube, Reddit and Mastodon for news related to certain topics. Now
I want to be more independent in finding my own news sources. However, there are
so many sources on the internet I wouldn’t know where to begin to find them by
myself.
Steam deck delivery and summer heat?

Steam deck delivery and summer heat? - Geddit
We are currently in a heat patch of 90°f weather; primarily we get 80°f+ weather
in August. Delivering a Steam Deck would take about 2 weeks according to the
website and I want to know what I should do in the case of the package being
outside in the mail truck and porch for so long on really hot days?
Necessary accessories? - Geddit
I’m getting a 64gb steam deck probably next month. It will be used as a portable
console and a desktop PC for work (desktop reliant websites). The most heavy
game I’ll play is Stray (no 1st person shooters, MMOs or huge open worlds) with
an hour or two of play time a day. I plan to get a 3rd party dock, a screen
protector and a case. I will wait until around black friday for those. Is it
necessary to get a ssd? Or will the 128gb micro SD card I have will be okay for
one downloaded game at a time? Main issue is the heat. Will a case make the SD
hotter? Will having a JSAUX backplate or a fan matter to keep the console cooler
during playing? From what I’ve read, people say the backplates will still get
heated after so many minutes of playing. The fans seems to put vaccume pressure
on the actual fan and will cause it to stop working in the near future. I want
to prioritize coolness before getting everything else.
