Steam deck delivery and summer heat? - Geddit

We are currently in a heat patch of 90°f weather; primarily we get 80°f+ weather in August. Delivering a Steam Deck would take about 2 weeks according to the website and I want to know what I should do in the case of the package being outside in the mail truck and porch for so long on really hot days?

I reckon it’d be fine, I doubt 90f/30c would do any damage. Especially boxed up

Nah, you’re fine: That’s well below the limits of the operating temperature, never mind that it would probably be cooler inside the box than on the surface.

Mine came 2 weeks ago and it was hot af then too. YMMV tho, mine arrived quite quickly given my location in the PNW

According to Valve:

The Steam Deck’s safe storage temperature range is between -20° - +60° C (-4° - +140° F).
