Why are anime catgirls blocking my access to the Linux kernel? - sh.itjust.works

Some thoughts on how useful Anubis really is. Combined with comments I read elsewhere about scrapers starting to solve the challenges, I’m afraid Anubis will be outdated soon and we need something else.

Microsoft lost $357 billion in market cap as stock plunged most since 2020 - sh.itjust.works

archive [https://archive.ph/p1PDD] My biggest impressions from the article > Microsoft shares slid about 10% on Thursday following an earnings report that disappointed some investors, prompting the stock’s sharpest daily decline since March 2020. ----- > Microsoft’s finance chief, Amy Hood, argued that the cloud result could have been higher if it had allocated more data center infrastructure to customers rather than prioritizing its in-house needs. > > “If I had taken the GPUs that just came online in Q1 and Q2 in terms of GPUs and allocated them all to Azure, the KPI would have been over 40,” she said. ----- > Analyst Ben Reitzes of Melius Research, with a buy rating on Microsoft stock, said during CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” on Thursday that Microsoft should double down on data center construction. > > “I think that there’s an execution issue here with Azure, where they need to literally stand up buildings a little faster,” he said. LMAO, the analysts and C level execs are going to accelerate the fall of Micro$lop.

Phone recommendations - sh.itjust.works

I’m looking for a recommendation for a phone, preferably a cheap used phone since I’m not really looking to break the bank and drive a Linux phone as my main until I can do so confidently without major disruption for work purposes. So SMS and phone calls are a must. Things I’d like to have: 1. 5G radio in case I use it long enough to where LTE towers get rolled further back before upgrading 2. External monitor capable for an android auto replacement 3. I really don’t care which distro I use, but one with a large app repo would be nice. 4. A Signal chat client 5. VoLTE supported would be nice, but not necessary

Your old profile will still be visible from other instances even after we go offline. > - Alternatively, if you want to delete your lemm.ee [http://lemm.ee] profile, now is the best time to do it, so the deletion can federate out before we go offline. > - If you’re one of the folks supporting us with a recurring donation, please remember to cancel it (Ko-Fi donations should have been cancelled automatically already). Our leftover funds are already enough to cover our bills for next month, so we can keep things running without any more support. > > Because of how Lemmy is built, everything posted on lemm.ee [http://lemm.ee] will still be accessible from other instances, even after we go offline. > > ## Why this is happening > > The key reason is that we just don’t have enough people on the admin team to keep the place running. Most of the admin team has stepped down, mostly due to burnout, and finding replacements hasn’t worked out. > > The sad reality is that while there are a lot of great people on Lemmy, there are also some who use the platform to attack others, stir up conflict, or actively try to undermine the project. Admins are volunteers who deal with the latter group on a constant basis, this takes a mental toll. Please understand why our admins chose to step down, and be kind to the admins on whatever instance you decide to join. > > — > > We know this sucks. We’re genuinely sorry it’s ending like this. Thank you to everyone who spent time here and helped make it better. > > – lemm.ee [http://lemm.ee] team
