kaikatsuFLOSS can often barely stand on they're own, as work is almost always done for free as a hobby project. Insulting and demeaning a project because the people working on it have chosen to work on things they are good at, UX design not being one of them, is unfair and cruel.
If you are struggling with the UX design of a FLOSS project, ask them to promote that they are looking for UX designers. If nobody there is one already, they can't do anything about it, regardless of how much you insult the project over it. Just giving them ideas is, unfortunately, useless if nobody has the knowledge to write those changes in.

@ed1conf I want one of those gaming keyboards with the WASD keys in a different color/with blinkenlichts, except it's HJKL instead of WASD. Bonus points for a light-up ESC in CapsLock's place.

Things like that are made either too expensive (in terms of money, or time, or both) or framed as something not worth wasting time on, because you can't support yourself doing art/writing/etc
