FLOSS can often barely stand on they're own, as work is almost always done for free as a hobby project. Insulting and demeaning a project because the people working on it have chosen to work on things they are good at, UX design not being one of them, is unfair and cruel.

If you are struggling with the UX design of a FLOSS project, ask them to promote that they are looking for UX designers. If nobody there is one already, they can't do anything about it, regardless of how much you insult the project over it. Just giving them ideas is, unfortunately, useless if nobody has the knowledge to write those changes in.
@kaikatsu if this is related to the things i tooted then i wanna say that u are right af and that nothing that i said was about this.
@snail It came across that way.
@kaikatsu sorry. I’ll try again.
The way most floss dev community comes off to me (both online and irl) is elitist. Like they are so much better than others for using floss and that anyone that uses windows/other proprietary software is like,,dumb. As in “u need rlly high iq to understand rick and morty” vibe.
But most dont get that the reason a lot of ppl dont use floss is that its UI and UX is too much work compared to using a proprietary software.
@kaikatsu i also said that this elitist and snobby way of acting makes people like me, users of proprietary software, get bad vibes from the community and therefore draws away potential new users. Which defeats the floss purpose of being a better alternative imo
