Every bit of your program needs its own OC, basically. The rest will happen naturally
GPLv621. "you can download the software, but you can't strip it of the explicit furry erotica written in every file and commit message."
DST is not the answer. DST is the question, and the answer is yes
@rho debugging JVM deadlocks in production is fun for the whole family!

Honestly the nicest thing about Kotlin might be that I can put a Service, its Controller, its DTOs, etc in the same fucking file. Heck make it one file per endpoint

god am I really posting about java code organization best practices? what is this job doing to me

I can see why they're going full on for Kotlin for the new version of Spring: the way this stuff plays together with Java's one-class-per-file paradigm is a goddamn tragedy. Every customization to the stack needs to be implemented in a variety of different places and mechanisms, and the java instinct is obviously to group things by mechanism, not feature

spring boot might be the first piece of software I run into that has *so much* documentation about it, but virtually all of it of such poor quality, that you legitimately might need claude to figure out anything at all about this godforsaken pit of garbage

this is not a compliment to claude

@maia if it helps, seeing a notification and a follow request from you put a smile on my face 😌
@maia commiserations 🫂
