TL;DR: Loops is doomed because Daniel Supernault doesn’t actually want to develop it or release the source code properly. I’ll try to provide evidence where I can, but a lot of evidence was destroyed via bans from the Discord, so I can’t retrieve my messages, and All I have are files I saved on my hard drive and mastodon links. How I Got Involved I got into Loops because of the TikTok ban scare and wanted to help develop a non-corporate fediverse alternative to TikTok and YouTube Shorts. I signed up, made two accounts (wasn’t sure why I couldn’t log in), and got approved after two days. Once I had an account, I downloaded the Android APK and joined the Discord. Getting Banned from the Discord After Daniel’s reaction, I started wondering if Loops was a waste of my time. Was anything actually happening? I tried decompiling the Android APK to see what was inside but couldn’t get it to recompile. Does lemmy have a safeguard against ban evasion - Lemmy.World

Reddit can detect ban evasion via IP addresses, but the fediverse is based on control of your information so IP is only held by instance you log into. Is there anyway any way to work with activity hub protocol to detect ban evasion? To clarify I mean evading a comms ban specifically but instance wide ban would be interesting

Features I like - Lemmy.World

I like how Lemmy doesn’t publish total score or whatever it’s version of reddit karma which is for the best. I do like how we can all be toxic to each other and not try to understand each other at all we can see which post go negative and what to hate. Treated people like human beings is boring and fediverse need conflict

What does Lemmy think of Daniel Supernault or on mastodon? - Lemmy.World

So I managed to piss off Daniel Supernault so much that delete my loops account, blocked me on the loop discord, and probably blocked me mastodon because I called him out a lot for making no progress on loops. It’s a long story and I could post it to this group (subreddit?) if you’re interested I can tell the story and get any receipt I still have But im curious what the sentiment is about him.

Easy fediverse projects

Easy fediverse projects - Lemmy.World

I made a bot that posts when peertube and owncast Livestreams go live on to mastodon. So there’s more content on mastodon and make it a little easier to find fediverse streamers. I’m trying to brainstorm how to make lemmy visible on mastodon since I consider it the front page of the fediverse
