Some people have brought up this instance of a white trans woman getting arrested for using the bathroom in Florida, as a counterpoint
Here's the thing: this was a planned protest. Conversely, the Black lesbian using the restroom was just trying to pee, in a non-federal building.
Marcy (the white trans woman) "sent letters earlier in March to Florida lawmakers warning them that she planned to use a specific women’s bathroom in the Capitol and included a photo of herself for identification."
Marcy had a reporter from the Tampa Bay Times accompany her. When she arrived "she was met outside by two officers who said they would try to work with her. Rheintgen decided to use the bathroom anyway."
Only THEN was she arrested.
Meanwhile Kalaya, the Black queer gender nonconfirming woman, was just trying to take a piss and THAT was enough to get the cops sicced on her.
If you can't tell the difference between these two things............

lol given the anti-immigrant sentiments of much of Europe these days, I have to imagine that the people behind this see trans people as mostly a white Western phenomenon, and I’m SO HYPED for when they find out that actually most of us are not white lolololol.

Also, real talk, that forcefem/forcemasc shit is some white trans ppl bullshit anyway. That's not the type of discourse that's coming from Black trans spaces, when I'm with my community I don't hear us making those kind of jokes, the same way that I never hear Black trans women using 4chan lingo like "passoid" or whatever.
Lowkey I think that "I'm gonna force a gender on you" is some colonial shit, even in jest
But also I hang out with trans people in offline spaces and a lot of the trans ppl I see stuck on forcefem stuff are usually extremely online, the type of people who when they say "the trans community" they're talking about their discord server *specifically* and *only* and that's part of the problem here
Me being interviewed about the Trump EO banning trans athletes and Georgia’s SB1:
