Almost No One is Evil.
Almost Everything is Broken.
I've been planning for that from the day the acquisition was announced.
Grain has gotten a lot cheaper, so my guess is that the category of "breakfast cereal" isn't the same today as it used to be driven by healthier choices (less sweetener and artificial flavoring, more real fruit) along with other non-food costs coming into the picture.
This will only be true for about 14 seconds, but it is a very great 14 seconds

Pay attention to the domain: dotnet.social.

Which means Microsoft is officially connected with a Mastodon community server.

@dotnet account was registered in November, but it became active today.

Clearly, Microsoft sees the Fediverse as core to marketing to developers. I wonder what other brands they’ll bring to the Fediverse as well.

Lots of people talking about @kevinroose's chat with Bing AI, and noting how unsettling it is (leads to the chat becoming a stalkerish entity claiming to love Kevin and telling him his wife doesn't love him), but it also struck me how it got there after Kevin seemed to keep trying to manipulate it to break its rules as well.
