If you don’t need smart home features, congratulations on not being disabled, I guess.
May you always have the choice. Some people have to use what they can afford and what their bodies and minds can operate.

Don’t harass disabled people about “OMG SURVEILLANCE CAPITALISM”. Do you lose your healthcare if your neighbour tells the government they saw you smile? No? Then maybe you are the one who could use the lecture instead.

Make your privacy tech accessible.

I truly believe the most powerful thing a cis person can do to help trans people (beyond voting for reps who believe we deserve human rights) is to STOP letting transphobia slide in family and friends. call it out. tell them it’s not okay. cut them out of things until they change.

This may be a hot take but I consider "adulting" MUCH easier than the school years. The constant learning, testing, essays, peer pressure, growing up, navigating new relationships... That's a lot of work. Life is easier now. Even with a kid, work, mortgage, a chronic illness and all this BS.

Haven't posted here for a while so I take the opportunity and say that #cyberpunk2077 is one of the best gaming experiences I've had in my life.

The writing had some of the most heartbreaking AND heartwarming scenes I've ever experienced. It definitely changed how I see both my life, myself, and the world around me.

Not saying the game itself is stellar but for this alone it was worth it. And on top of that, it looks good, very fun, and quite immersive.

It feels like I'm a new person now.

Don’t have time to get into it now, but I’m on team “make the fediverse so great that it attracts more people,” and not team “yell at those who use big social.”

And I’d encourage the same from everyone who wants to @spreadmastodon.

Things I ask myself:
- Have we done everything to make it super easy to join Mastodon and find great follows?
- What do organizations need in order to experiment on Mastodon?

It looks cool as heck. From an ergonomic perspective though there's no real debate, you definitely don't want to be looking down at a monitor that far below your eyeline for extended periods of time.

Those ones are better than the lower ones but still far from ideal as they are at a fixed height. You want to be able to position the top of the monitor at your eye level. Having to shim up the whole computer instead of just the monitor to get it in the right spot is inconvenient at best.
