My problem with any new fortress in DF is that it always takes me so long to figure out how to use the site. I just stare and think; it takes me forever to actually start digging. New site paralysis.

Two things I've learned today while prepping for procedure tomorrow:
1) I get very cold when I haven't eaten real food in over 24 hrs
2) when I'm physically miserable I'm inclined to lovey and babey mood swings, probably as an instinctual way to get my partners to take care of me

@naga @Mycroft Yeah! What I liked about TMNT is that you would have some Bio-E to allocate across a few abilities and mutant form. It was very condensed and straight forward. Your method sounds just like what I was considering

@Mycroft Thanks! Yeah. I was discussing this with my partner and I guess I want to approach it in a way that doesn't encourage power gaming as much as it opens up gameplay to be more furry, and I think that's where the balancing is going to come into play. It'd be really easy to trick out each animal-type with powers but that's not at all interesting to me.

I kinda want to write a TMNT-style supplement for #5e and #A5E that allows one to create any animal humanoid in a fantasy setting. I don't think I need a whole worldbuilding pretense, just do the mechanics and let people make their own.

I read through the enhanced zine version of #BrindlewoodBay last night after watching Murder, She Wrote and it's a lot of fun. I appreciate rulebooks that save the fluff for later and get to the rules.

I love the mechanics involved in the game and it almost feels more like a board game than a TTRPG. I would love to play/'Keep' this game at some point!
