@rbreich I have heard nothing about people in those countries stashing large caches of weapons and ammunition in multiple, secret hiding places, in the event of such an eventuality. In 2005, a coworker of mine took me to a remote place in the Arizona desert, where he had done exactly that. He dug up a container, which contained about 20 assault rifles, and another, full of appropriate ammunition for the same. This wasn't the only container in that location, nor was it his only stash.

It will be unreasonable to shame an individual for their lack of gainful employment when there just aren't enough jobs to go around. But on the bright side, we have the opportunity to evolve from a civilization of labor, to a civilization of leisure,. My prototype is the state of Kuwait, where citizens largely rely on foreign workers for most labor. Replace these workers with machines, and we have my Utopia.
