🔭 I am happy to announce that Gary and I are working on a second edition of ☄️ Cometography, vol 1, which will be revised considerably, including the research results over the last 25 years. Even better, we will change the publisher which will make the book much more affordable. Earliest in 2025. 🧪
First light for my newly obtained astro-modified DSLR. Planning to use it for fixed shots of scenic sky views preferably with bright, long-tailed #comets NGC 7000 (North America Neb) 6 x 10 s (a bit too long), processed with Siril (Linux). Steep learning curve ahead for a seasoned visual observer.
Last one before the BBQ is Uwe Pilz on the use of residual light amplifiers for astronomy. ☄️
