iodéOS and /e/OS are based in France. iodéOS and /e/OS make devices dramatically more vulnerable while misleading users about privacy and security. These fake privacy products serve the interest of authoritarians rather than protecting people. /e/OS receives millions of euros in government funding.
GrapheneOS is a freely available open source privacy project. It's obtained from our website, not shady dealers in dark alleys and the "dark web". It doesn't have a marketing budget and we certainly aren't promoting it through unlisted YouTube channels and the other nonsense that's being claimed.

We were contacted by a journalist at Le Parisien newspaper with this prompt:

> I am preparing an article on the use of your secure personal data phone solution by drug traffickers and other criminals. Have you ever been contacted by the police?

Hi!

I know it's seems bad, but that is typical for the Tensor G1 SoC. Not a defect.

- New, stable app store API
- Complete installer rewrite, resolving all known bugs
- Tons of new features

It looks like you have developer options enabled and options related to desktop mode enabled in it. You can disable those, disable developer options, and reboot to make it go away.

@GrapheneOS For anyone reading this/future reference, I’ve added a timeline showing the short and uncooperative exchange with that TikTok account via Signal, which ended 13 days later with an insulting reply. You can view it here:

Try letting it get all the way to 100% and wait for the battery icon to show the small shield.

No one is asking for blind trust, and if they were...don't trust them.

What GrapheneOS says is verifiable, often easily so.

@TotalSonic

It's a given that some users take it too far and don't always communicate things in respectful and unbiased ways, unfortunately.

I think when it comes to responses and comments from the project, they are always the ones either:

  • Drawn into the conversation by others, often through comparisons or verifiably false claims made about the project.
  • Fighting misinformation that is harmful to users, which can include false or misleading marketing from companies or other groups.

They are always aiming to provide objective information about claims others make.
