Mid-aughts Battlestar Galactica has aged splendidly and I won't take any guff concerning my stated position at this time.

Nearly 60°F in middle November. Terror.
"I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. This is why right, temporarily defeated, is stronger than evil triumphant."
What kind of world are we building for our babies?
i would have thought someone faked this tweet if i didn’t see it on his profile myself

@WEATHERISHAPPENING in about 2-4 years we will be wishing for more free rain, as AMOC collapses and the northeast turns into a colder, dryer place forsaken by all but the most callous of the Weather Gods, who will treat us as we have treated the world - carefree and curious as to how much plasticity our bodies can take before breaking.

Repent!

Our son is taking part in a social experiment.

He has to wear a tory 2024 t-shirt for 2 weeks and see how people react. So far he's been spat on, punched, had a bottle thrown at him and hit on the head with a shoe.

I'm curious to see what happens when he goes outside.

@NoraReed oh and I am so happy they conveyed time and again that the "eeeevil" races of DnD are only evil because of their fucked up traumas - except for hyenas, because they're just hungry animals who happen to get fucked over by their weird hungry boy god too. It's either gods or goddesses fucking them over sideways, or their parents, or some tyrant, or a mixture of all the above.

Even the big baddies are fucked over trauma llamas!

@NoraReed it's a master class in collaborative storytelling but it's a CRPG. Also, Rangers are useful! They should have fixed some bits of the Bards though, even when they tried to solve its issues with game reward items.

@NoraReed even the verbal spell components are done with the fury a DM could only wish for from players.

It's really good. You have a setting where every problem can be resolved through multiple avenues, and the game doesn't break even if you play a murder hobo. The consequences for failing upward can be either hilarious (the folk you walked into having an intimate moment now wanna eat you) or game-ending (well, you did the thing someone wanted you to do even when it made no sense, the end).

i can't believe this but bg3 is making me actually enjoy 5e and not just begrudgingly accept it
