@axxl you’re not finding them useful?

I’ve had this piece in mind for months now and I’m very excited to set it out into the world.

I’m not reviewing the whole iOS update. I am highlighting some features that I think have gotten passed over in those bigger reviews, though.

My biggest overlooked feature this year? Apple created a solution for carsickness.

I definitely don’t want to sound flippant about the danger of hiking off-trail or underprepared. We had a lot of extra food and fluids and layers and batteries. We just didn’t quite have the right equipment, and that made a big difference. The off-trail part of the hike was also very busy. There was no part of it where we were alone. If it were deserted, we would have probably decided against continuing at some point. Thankfully that was not the case.

We did a hike up Grand Teton last week, and despite our extensive preparation, there was still clearly a lot we flatlanders had to learn about hiking up mountains. If we’d known how hard it was going to be, I’m not sure we would have done it. But I’m glad we did anyway. Sometimes it’s better to not quite know what you’re in for. https://open.substack.com/pub/sizemo/p/leaping-without-looking?r=8cyq6&utm_medium=ios

TREES TREES TREES

Fresh off a visit to [redacted] National Park, I’ve got trees on the brain. I have two shots from the archives and one shot from this week to discuss today!

So I took photos while the DEA was posted up outside my house last week and that gave me my photo theme for this week! Full story is also in the newsletter. https://open.substack.com/pub/sizemo/p/photo-friday-trouble?r=8cyq6&utm_medium=ios

@ghose yes! It’s not just about the time you’re out running, it’s so much more all the time.

I am a big Tracksmith fan. The aesthetic is very much my style, but I’ve had their stuff for coming up on eight years now and haven’t had any durability issues yet. I also love that the stuff I get from there always have enough pockets for my stuff.
