After a couple of decades as a self-taught "hack" musician, I made a resolution last New Years to go and actually take formal music lessons. I've had to unlearn some really bad habits in the 12 months since, but it's been paying off and has really given me a new appreciation for "professional" musicians who actually know what they're doing. 😜
My only regret is I wish'd I'd undertaken this when I was much, much younger! Ha!
How many votes will have to be held before McCarthy gets the speakership? Will he *ever* get the speakership? Constitutionally speaking, this has to get done to get the business of government back underway.
The Republicans should negotiate with Democratic leadership to see if there's a "unity candidate" they might be willing to help get the W. Good politics should be about positive compromise rather than simple obstinance. #politics #CongressionalGridLock

It works by checking to see who the people you already follow... uh.... follow. It's not 100% of course, but it does help to surface some interesting people. It doesn't require anything from you other than a profile name. You can even use someone else's, so if you want to see who it thinks I should follow, knock yourself out.

I read an older comment in which Noel Gallagher of Oasis had been critical of The Beach Boys. This naturally triggered a certain amount of indignation but I'm not entirely sure he's wrong.
The Beach Boys did have some remarkable vocal melodies and production values and Pet Sounds is a seminal album but beyond that, I've never seen them as particularly innovative. Just my opinion.
