After 13 years, I finally bought proper stands for my keyboard and trackball, replacing the stacks of books.
I got sick of having to move equipment when I needed my dictionary of obscenity, or my Brewer's.
(The keyboards on the standing desk are for mouse-heavy work: the hip keyboards are for uninterrupted word production.)
@xgerman many parts of abq cater to people who retire here from CA. Then Santa Fe is just obnoxious prices all around because it is a tourist town.
Plus CA is cheap food wise.

The Machine was one of the best action comedies I’ve seen in a long time. Bert did an incredible job with that movie. If you are a fan of that genre of movie I highly recommend it. Haven’t laughed that hard in a theater in a long time.
