I got to spend a couple of nights in a caboose at the Izaak Walton Inn in Essex, MT this week. While Iβm a bit of a transportation nerd, retired rail conveyance is not normally my lodging accommodation of choice. Temperatures outside got to -17Β°F, and a full 15 inches of snow fell on our second day there, making the cross-country ski trails quite the workout. The place was a unique experience. Five stars. Would recommend.
