Did my first proper engraving. Used a photo I took back in 2009 from Bodie State Park in Bridgeport, Ca

It came out way better than I hoped with actual texture

Someone sent in a sticker with their units for repair. I think I'll keep it.
It was haircut time again

Installed a dedicated outlet box and routed an illuminated switch up to the panel for the exhaust fan system.

I only blew one fuse wiring the backwards chinese switch xD

So... no burning at 3,000 mm/m at any percentage xD

Also, obligatory character testing :3

Burning a calibration plank now :D
I didn't want to route exhaust hoses though the room for the laser, so I made my own inline filter to just vent into the room. Adapted a 12v fan with a carbon + charcoal + HEPA filter. The carbon filter was too dense and restrictive to airflow, so was removed

Good news! I got the laser cutter started up for the first time

Bad news! It seems like every mirror needs recalibrating 😅

Each color is a test shot at each of the corners; black circle is the entrance to the final mirror

Slightly larger than expected, but YOLO I guess 😅
Always remember....
