@Ylodi Text mode je GPU-accelerated terminal, trebalo je dosta dugo dok grafički terminal (emulatori) dostignu performanse konzole 386ice.
Što se tiče modernih terminala, iscrtavanje velike količine teksta putem vektorskog fonta, a da to podržava većinu Unicoda (tipa arapski, azijska pisma, itd) je ful netrivijalno i sporo ako se radi na CPU-u.
Nema mi goreg nego kad vidim da tekst editor ili terminal lag-a na mašini koja bi pred koje desetljeće bila smtrana superračunalom.

I noticed I haven't posted to Mastodon in a while, but had an account on a paid server.
It remains to be seen how much more I'll post in '26. If we're connected on multiple platforms, you're likely to see duplicate content - sorry!
In any case, moving to another (free) server so at least I don't pay for something I'm not really using.
