Everyone is trying to figure out how to work with AI, but we also need to understand the risks. The risk isn't that AI produces "bad models", it's that we accept plausible-looking ones without having the correct mental models to validate them.
We can do that by modelling collaboratively. Collaborative modelling is becoming more important as we figure out how to use AI. Join me and @kenny_baas
in our workshop, where we will help you improve the quality of it. https://www.avanscoperta.it/en/training/collaborative-software-design-workshop/
Collaborative Software Design Workshop

Based on the book Collaborative Software Design, we provide you with the facilitation skills needed to guide a group and lead impactful modeling sessions.

Avanscoperta | We are learners!!!
And I remember Liz Keogh trying to pronounce my name on stage whilst talking about Cynefin. Can’t really blame me, it has been 10 years after all ;-) [3/3]
The first edition was in Brussels, Belgium. I was part of the DDD Belgium community back then, and we were all very excited there was going to be a DDD conference for the very first time. I am going to be honest with you, I don’t remember much about it. I have a vague impression of the building and hotel in my head, when I think of it I always see black curtains. I remember a cab ride with @Koenmetsu and @tcoopman . [2/3]
This year is the 10th edition of @dddeu, and I wanted to share my personal journey during the next couple of weeks of this wonderful conference. This conference and the people organising it (spoiler alert, my colleagues) have been an important in my professional career for the past 10 years. So 10 seems like the right number to take a trip down memory lane. [1/3]
The Learning Organisation with João Rosa

YouTube
“How do we design our software system so that our teams can be autonomous?” is a very common question I receive during training or consulting. In this episode of Satisfying Software, I dig a bit deeper into team organization with @joaorosa. He shares his ideas and opinions on questions like “what does it mean for teams to deliver value?”, and “what are some of the common mistakes made when organizing teams?”.
How to fix your decision making processes with Andrea Magnorsky

Why do most companies struggle to make good decisions?

When I started working, I noticed that companies were not great at having meetings and making decisions. So I started digging into decision-making theory. During my journey, I ran into some lovely people who had a similar journey. One of those people is Andrea Magnorsky.
In this episode, I sat down with @roundcrisis to unpack why decision-making processes often fail the people they are meant to help. [1/2]

Learning and Development with Hannes Lowette

YouTube
“As a software developer, you will always have to keep learning.” This was what I was told when I started studying to become a software engineer. But that was it, no tips or tricks on how to do this. In this episode of Satisfying Software, I had the pleasure to talk to Hannes Lowette on everything “learning and development”. Hannes has a lot of experience in creating a knowledge sharing culture within a company as Head of L&D at Axxes. [1/2]
