@si_fuller I'd love to see a planet-feathered cartoon takahē which can just zoom out of danger on its stubby little legs. Takahē: Fat. Flightless. *Fast*.

Back when the takahē was believed to be extinct, the occasional hunting party who spotted one reported it as having the speed of a racehorse, explaining why they never managed to grab one and thus prove it wasn't extinct.
