I do Python and open source stuff at Anaconda. Used to do particle physics.
@steve @skyglowberlin A SNO reunion in 2029 would be pretty interesting! (I think my last time underground was in 2013.)
@trick Prophet is a pretty popular python library for time series forecasting. I can’t come up with one that is 5 letters though.
Apple’s attention to detail is INSANE. You can’t watch this and not smile.

@freakboy3742 @chrisjrn I was a happy paying customer of Scroll before it shutdown: https://techcrunch.com/2020/01/28/scroll-launch/

My flat $5/month was split across the various news sites I frequented in proportion to how much I read them. Sort of in the same style as YouTube Premium.

They were acquired by Twitter in 2021 (a year before the Elonocalypse) and disappeared: https://techcrunch.com/2021/10/05/distraction-free-reading-service-scroll-is-shutting-down-and-becoming-a-feature-of-twitter-blue/

Scroll launches its subscription offering ad-free access across 300 partner sites | TechCrunch

After a long period of invite-only beta testing, Scroll is officially launching today, offering ad-free access to sites like BuzzFeed News, Business

Oh - you're on Android? No problem. Same source code, different platform:

You know those times when you're at a cafe, or sitting on the beach, and you just *need* to see a histogram of something, but you don't want to get out your laptop? Well, now you can use your phone!

That is to say: toga-chart - a matplotlib rendering backend that uses Toga's native canvas - now works on iOS. This isn't rendering a PNG - it’s drawing directly to the iOS screen.

@mariatta Close cousin to “which time-related unit test added in the last 6 months is now breaking in CI?”
@ubernostrum We’ve been pretty happy with the RAV4 Hybrid, which seems to functionally be a Prius with a larger body. Never tried putting that much weight on the roof rack, but the specs say 2019 model year and later can handle 176lbs. If you are in a hotter climate, you definitely want 2019 and later to get rear AC vents.
