Hi i'm scott from Australia and I love technology.
I enjoy making new friend's, helping people with their technology related queries and enjoy listening to music and I love coffee and am a food reviewer for my local gazette here in Sydney. I also enjoy watching motor sports, cricket, medical shows such as Chicago med and documentaries in general.
In addition to my previous post, I have found on an iPhone if you enter a table within an email or any table, you can use your rotor by rotating with two fingers either clockwise or anticlockwise until you hear Rose and then you can flick left and right to move between each cell and flicking up and down will read that particular column and move you from row to row. This is also very useful and I had no idea that this even existed on the iPhone even though I have been using the iPhone for years using VoiceOver. I have not needed this function until now so wanted to share this knowledge with others here.
I have another great tip here for those who receive emails or documents that contain tables with rows and columns. I just discovered that if for example you receive a daily spam report from your email provider that is set up in rows and columns. if using Jaws, when you enter the table by arrowing down, use alt control and left and right arrows to navigate each cell and using alt control up and down arrows moves down one cell or row and reads it. My daily spam reports can sometimes be 50 pages long and using the above navigation commands really cut my reading time in half. Wanted to share this with everyone here.
Greetings everyone. I just wanted to pass on this tip that I had today and thought that it may be useful. I was trying to order some food via an app and for whatever reason, I was not able to get past the car to place my order. I then decided to restart my phone and the app in question and this made no difference. I then signed out of the affected app and signed back in and the issue was resolved. The moral of this tale is, if everything else you have tried has not worked sometimes signing out of the app and signing back in can fix issues like this one without having to reinstall the app first. This is assuming that there are no technical difficulties with the app which in this instance there are not because my support worker was able to place an order on the same app when I was trying to and had no issues so the problem was a glitch with my particular account on the app and it is all fixed now after signing back in. I hope this tip is useful.
@jonathan859 @serrebi Glad I could help. I think this particular keyboard post was back when I had my Nokia G 11+ or whatever it was called. Interesting that the post has just surfaced now I’m sure it was over two years old when I posted this. I have to say, I have not noticed this keyboard issue with my pixel eight and I have been running the pixel eight since last year.
@dhamlinmusic I just received my update this morning and restarted as you suggested. thanks again.
@dhamlinmusic Thank you so much for this tip. I will definitely do this when the update reaches my pixel eight.
@dhamlinmusic That is very strange. Not sure what’s going on with that you may want to email accessibility support and let them know that a lot of of the features are not in your release for some reason.

I did hear rumours of this happening however, I did not expect no iPhone 18 standard version this year.

@dhamlinmusic I just sent an email to Google accessibility support to ask them why we have not been offered the latest talkback 16.2. Will let you know if I hear anything back.
@dhamlinmusic Thanks very much for the reply regarding this. I hope it comes to my phone soon because there are some new features that interest me
