The facts are so stark and yet his approval rating is so poor. There must be many factors, but surely social media must take a lot of the blame for reality distortion to such an extent?

The sweet spot seems to be 3 to 10 times per day (including boosts and replies, excluding Twitter cross-posts)
Posting more than 10 times/day --> diminishing returns
Posting less frequently than once per day --> stagnant growth

If done poorly, scaling will annoy new participants. Mastodon's onboarding is an obvious weakness. Once new users are onboarded, the UI is laden with jargon and the UX is opinionated in counterintuitive ways－ this creates friction for mainstream users who just want to do one of 2 things:
- publish content to their audience
- consume content as a member of the audience
- publish content to their audience
- consume content as a member of the audience

FediTips has moved!The latest Mastodon update lets you follow hashtags. When you follow, posts with a tag appear in your timeline automatically.
Try following #Gardening to make posts about gardening appear in your timeline.
This can be REALLY useful for discovering interesting accounts.
To follow a hashtag:
1. Log in through your server's website
2. Search for hashtag
3. Click it to see its results
4. Click on 👤+ icon in top right (click again to unfollow)
Posts from followed tags are visible in the apps too.
