https://singersroom.com/best-lou-reed-songs-of-all-time/ the first time I've read an article that I could swear was generated by AI. Whenever it actually describes the lyrical content of a song it's either slightly wrong, very wrong, or so generalized as to be possibly talking about any possible song. There are going to be more and more of these articles coming, aren't there?

I have a novel idea.

If people want journalists to use Mastodon more (even if they are still using Twitter), make them feel welcome.

Try to understand that many of them have to cross post & are required to use twitter as well.

If Elon fails, lets hope Mastodon stays friendly enough, that journalists will want to flock to this new & I feel better platform.

Pretty rare to see Denmark featured in Wired.. 😳 https://t.co/Y9X59XBbxN

As someone who has worked for years to eradicate misinformation in the history of abandoned places (and is thus aware of the already formidable stream of garbage writing surrounding them), it's fun to contemplate the absolute nosedive we're about to do into inaccurate information on every single subject as AI becomes the generative method for creating content.

"Fun."

I haven’t had much time to post because the last 3 months have been absolutely wild in terms of workload. But I’m very excited about how this platform is growing.

"I Hide Giants That I Make From Wood In The Wilderness Of The Belgian Forest

My name is Thomas Dambo. I build giant wooden trolls around the world and hide them in wilderness and forests. I build all my mythical creatures of repurposed wood to show the potential in this precious material, which is often discarded and becomes a threat to the natural world."

Do I have a follower who speaks Lithuanian and could explain to me the connotations associated with "Maskolija" ?

Boosts are appreciated 😘

Big Journalism is still largely unwilling to call things what they are. Today's example is the Washington Post's use of "vaccine hesitancy" to describe a movement that is based on rejecting science and evidence in favor of dangerous and, increasingly, politically motivated lies.

The people who reject vaccines are attacking their communities. They spread disease and death. We should recognize this, and say it out loud.

Growing vaccine hesitancy fuels measles, chickenpox resurgence in U.S.

An Ohio measles outbreak among unvaccinated children comes at a time of heightened concern about the public health consequences of anti-vaccine sentiment.
