i did some ancestry.com research into my own family history, and found pretty much what i expected. colonists from europe, civil war soldiers from both sides, slaveholders, and a general theme of white supremacy. but i was struck most by the story of my ancestors' involvement in the genocide of #nativeamericans.

Your friends will. Your friends with mobility aids. Your friends who aren't a size 0. Your friend with a speech impediment they've worked relentlessly to overcome.
If you want to make a joke about a politician/public figure, find something worth joking about. Ableism ain't it. Weight ain't it.
