PhD students: do you really want to do a post-doc with a PI interested in journal IF more than the content of you PhD papers?
Post-doc, tenure tracks: I've been on many panels where journal names where ~never mentioned (e.g. ERC panels, assoc/prof hiring panels in various european countries). Starting a sentence like "I've read this paper and I found it..." is usually much more influential than recalling a journal IF.

Among many other things, we will design & establish a new common garden network including species and provenance mixtures, as well as testing underused tree species and ecologically-marginal & peripheral populations
Here is a summary of the options we are considering. Any suggestions? Also, any other similar initiatives around that would like to link with us?

Moving from Twitter to here gave me a truly good community feeling that I had lost. Also, it feels so good not to have obnoxious adds or algorithms filtering the information! (I used to spend time wondering WTF I was getting all the wrong info).
