Nice set of tips for macOS by the fine folks at Git Tower.

I wish they mentioned Shortcuts and indicated that Automator, while functional, is eventually going away. Regardless, the article has a nice set of tips.
I've been wailing on about SPA frameworks recently (like a lot of us have, probably because we've found more of our people over here) but just to be clear:
The world sucks right now. Get a job where you can. If React or Vue or Angular or Next or whatever gets you a job, then that is absolutely fantastic. If you are new in web dev and it introduces you to a love for the web, that is also fantastic.
My book about keyboards, Shift Happens, is now on Kickstarter!
There is all sorts of new information about it, and a video, and what I think are very cool tiers and rewards on top of a very cool book.
Please back and spread the word!

Google used to take pride in minimizing time we spent there, guiding us to relevant pages as quickly as possible. Over time, they tried to answer everything themselves: longer snippets, inline FAQs, search results full of knowledge panels.
Today's Bard announcement feels like their natural evolution: extracting all value out of the internet for themselves, burying pages at the bottom of each GPT-generated essay like footnotes. https://blog.google/technology/ai/bard-google-ai-search-updates/
We all admire Amsterdam for having the vision to replace car infrastructure with bike infrastructure. We see the positive uplift in small business activity, and livability. 🙂👍🏿
Now imagine doing that in reverse. Replace relatively safely walkable and bikeable infrastructure with car infrastructure. In fact, put in freeways. Demolish entire thriving wealthy neighborhoods with freeways that don't serve the neighborhood.🙃
That's what we did to Black folk. That's how we destroyed Black wealth.
Even the Tweetbot memorial page is better designed than anything coming out of Twitter.
🫡, and now on to @ivory …
Developers, PLEASE, for the love of all that is holy, don't disable pasting into password fields.
We all want to use more secure passwords, but if for some reason our password manager doesn't work with your site or app, having to 10-finger a long password is annoying.
Exactly 14 years ago , Satoshi Nakamoto designed the most pathetic / inefficient system ever invented by humankind : the blockchain.
Today, it weights 60 000 tons, wastes constantly 10 gigawatts (more than Belgium or Chile) to process less than 7 transactions per second :
Less than a 33 bps modem from 1990.
This could be a joke if it didn't have such gigantic environmental impact, wasn't enabling billion dollars ransomware industry and was not crushing thousands of lives in the process.
