The internet told me that today is Ansel Adams’s birthday, but when I doublechecked, the internet said it was February 20. But a week ago, I found this photo of my folks and Ansel at some banquet aways back, so—close enough! My dad was Director of Information for the National Park Service, so I imagine the occasion was about Ansel & parks.
The Persephone Days--that ~2 months of year when daylight falls below 10 hours, and plants pretty much stop growing--are finally behind us, here in Northern California. These seedlings are ready to get growing. #gardening #spring
