@starriverikebana That's funny, because from the eye of a graphic designer this is incredibly interesting.
People who have no* understanding of race and ethnicity feel entitled to ownership of the (pop) culture of people they might identify with on an aesthetic level.
This is definitely the stupidest thing I've ever said, but after seeing people like Gwen Stefani claim to be Japanese I feel like I kinda understand why Japan is so paranoid about letting foreigners in.
Watched NOPE.
Liked it.
More.

Modern fascists around the world all follow the same playbook.

1. Lie nonstop

2. Be an intentionally hypocritical troll at all times

3. Attack your capitol and rub your feces on the walls when you lose an election

Studying anti-blackness will show you how to identify so many isms and phobias because most, if not all are offshoots of it.

It's all about dehumanization to justify unacceptable behavior.
To be clear, there would be no 'drama' or 'incidents' if bigots left me alone. I do not go after people I dislike because I have better things to do with my time.

But that's the thing about bigots. They cannot get the affirmation they need in their communities because they don't even like each other. That's why they harass us.

I am especially disliked in my particular case because I don't take people's bullshit whenever they feel like dishing it out. And in many parts of the fedi, not deferring to white people who behave terribly is a worse offense than the behavior itself.

People can say whatever they want about me, but the reality is that people that have a problem with me don't like Black folks advocating for themselves and our safety.

The math on this one is very uncomplicated.
@cclareMDMPH It's really just a matter of time. The more you post, the more "you" you become. Building the right audience is also key. (I'm on some pretty radical instances, so my anti-racist rants go over real well there.)
Without meaningful repercussion, a failed coup attempt is just a training exercise.
They are not above terrorism. It's how they gained power the first time.
