Sorry. Looks like you were referring to Jeff!

I do NOT know assembly. Have never had the courage to try

@gabor It may not be exactly what you’re looking for but check out techurls.com and it’s sister sites. Personally, I just use an RSS reader as most of the news sites I want to follow have RSS feeds. Some even have topic-specific feeds.
@hamjb I've only been using it for a few days now but I'd have to agree with you. I've been noticing how much longer it's been taking my Home feed to render using hte native app. Wasn't sure if that was due to my local server, the network, popularity of Mastodon or something else
Checking out pinafore.social, which is another web app you can use to browse your Mastodon timeline. Looks pretty nice; I may switch to it permanently!

I created a very simple one using Inkscape. Not sure how much weight it adds to my site though.

Creating a Favicon in Inkscape

@paoloredaelli

Neither. My site just uses whatever your default system font is in the browser! Keeps it simple on my end and minimizes the page size. The only downside is that the site looks a bit "boring" but given my low readership, I'm ok with that.

@John

I don't blame you. I don't like that my site calls the Google APIs each time a page is served. I haven't had the time to figure out a way to download the fonts locally so it was just easier to remove them.

Slowly removing Google fonts from my web site.
