Now they’re trying to blame a Black woman, a former prison guard, for the death of Jeffrey Epstein. Instead of just… you know. Arresting everyone on that list that is alive.

This country’s obsession with (attempting to) humble, blame and demean Black women for things that have nothing to do with us (while letting White pedos ruin the earth) should be studied in-depth.

It’s delving into mental illness, the level of obsession. Has been for a while.

hmm. I do want to gauge how many Turkish people I have on my TL. One person has asked for this, and I have a request for Urdu. Both are languages I have zero, absolutely zero, familiarity with. Urdu would be the first Hindustani linguistic family group. Both are very different in script and writing, and depending on how shit Espeak is at their IPA outputs, we may need to do a lot, and I mean a lot, of tuning.
Okay, I admit that AI really helps with making great songs, and I use it too. But when I listen to multiple AI-generated songs back to back, they all feel like they’re sung by the same vocal. They really need more vocal variation.

@blindbargains I made three NVDA addons.
WikiSeek:
NVDA+w, Type your query, searches wikipedia, comes up with a result in a text field. Cuts out all the guff. Downside it cuts out tables too, but you have the option of opening up the article in browser too. Configurable in settings as to whether it auto-opens, and which wikipedia language you want it to pull articles from.

dateParser: NVDA+E. Enter a passed or future date to find out how many days, weeks months or years ago it was either for curiocity, or to find out when a special date happened or will happen for you in the future.
You can say things like:
2025-05-01 or 35 Mondays ago, or 19 Tue from now.

Minuter: NVDA+Shift+Backspace. Enable/disable beeps, spoken seconds or use the supplied sound files to go off every second, 5 seconds before the top of the next minute and at the top of the next minute.
Your settings remain active even when the dialog is closed.
All can be downloaded from here: https://onj.me/nvda

Oh yeah, totally forgot. It's been about a year and a week with Android now. Over all I'm really satisfied, Google has improved talkback a lot. The one and only annoying thing is typing, that's really a disaster and I'm glad I have vision left so I can turn off TB to type sometimes, or being able to attach a bluetooth keyboard. Otherwise though, I love being able to install apks and get updates right from the source like GitHub, Zoom, as well the camera zoom from the pixel 9 pro as well as the ability to Zoom anywhere with the accessibility button in the 3 button nav bar, which also features my best friend the back button, is great, not having to triple tap and swipe around laggy and weird like on IOS. Well, that's all. There are tons of other things I forgot for sure but I really enjoy what this is and would recommend. At some point, probably when I get a new phone whenever that is, I'll root or even gravin OS this thing, gonna be fun. Oh yeah and we have NVGT games, that's fun too.

I'm so glad NVDA, Narrator, Orca, VoiceOver, TDSR, and Fenrir exist. I'm so, so glad JAWS is not the only desktop screen reader, and that FS did not persue JAWS for Mac.

I'm so glad that NVDA not only supports addons, but shows them off with the addon store! I'm so glad that NVDA is so inescapably popular that even big corporations support them, like Google Docs and Microsoft Office and countless others that say in their documentation that NVDA is supported.
