@foone I was partial to AMI myself. Phoenix got the job done, and they were the first one I remember with the win 3.1 style GUi.

@ironicbadger I started with Jellyfin but pinched my nose and made the transition to Plex because of paper cuts. The biggest being TV tuner. It just hangs the tuner (doesn’t disconnect it when you stop watching) and the guide data is convoluted. I considered donating to their project, but they seem to be against people trying to guide the feature roadmap. Which is strange if it’s actually what the majority wants. LeSigh. Hopefully they’ll get there..eventually.

@mav @cinja @TechConnectify It’s a tall order, yes. But I don’t believe that just because a problem is hard justifies giving up. I’d prefer if Americans figure some way to work through this and stay at the top of technology advancement. The societal question to answer is we currently accept when a human reacts to a situation it’s through a lens of self-preservation. Is that still applicable to AI even if presented with conflicting info.

@cinja @mav @TechConnectify I think 20 years is a long time. Tech moves quickly. What would be a huge game changer is a car-car communication and an overview program. Currently we all make decisions in a vacuum. With communication between cars at millisecond speed, even if the decision is wrong by the computer, other vehicles will confidently know what that car is about to do. I
