it was only a matter of time before #blaseball came to mlastodon

https://www.blaseball.com/

so much has happened. this is a fictional fantasy baseball league, no real money. seasons are a week long, games are 1 hour long.

the first season ended on sunday, players' votes were to open the forbidden book, which saw the Moab Sunbeams devoured into the mouth of hell, and they are now renamed the Hellmouth Sunbeams. The umpires' eyes have turned white and rogue umps have incinerated 5 players mid-game in the last 24 hours

BLASEBALL

Baseball at your mercy

@Pixley i hate to bother you but do you know about blaseball already
okay i guess it resolved itself after rebooting and crashing like 8 times but still
how the fuck does EVERY windows update fuck up my windows install. every one. every time it updates, I'm met with a crash loop. this fucking sucks
For anyone wondering, New York is the only state that has any charities on it right now! This is exactly why I'm trying to gather information 😅

I posted about this earlier today, but one last time for the day. I'm starting a website aimed at giving breweries a toolkit to drive donating some of their proceeds to charity. Here's my site (Work In Progress):

https://brewingforgood.carrd.co/

I ALSO have made a Google Sheet, and would like your help filling it out with some grassroots charities near you. If you don't have all info, it's fine - anything helps. There're tabs for each US state, and Puerto Rico, at the bottom.

Brewing For Good

Find more effective ways to donate your brewery's proceeds so that you can do the most good with your efforts.

i'm reposting this because i realize i did so fairly early this morning (EST)

i'm starting a (very WIP - 1 hr. spent) carrd resource to distribute to major breweries so that they have a one-stop shop for donation of proceeds, along with some resources they can use to find orgs that work best for them, and other tangential info.

please see this post for details, but I'm taking suggestions for local orgs in the US!

alright i'm setting up a carrd resource that I plan to distribute to major breweries so that they have an easy efficient way (and no excuse not) to be able to donate proceeds where they're needed most. what i could use from everyone here is: (reply or DM) -name of local community/nonprofit org close to you, that you are familiar w/ -their website/resource page -brief blurb (one or two lines) about their mission i'd appreciate the help! (link: https://brewingforgood.carrd.co/) please boost & share!

I am also keeping this only to the U.S. for now - just trying this idea out and seeing how it works. However, if you want to take and run with this for other regions, please let me know and I can share some ideas!
just noticed the 'regions' page is fucked up on mobile. oh well. this is a work in progress
