Did some 3D modelling and printing again lately after quite some pause. I really enjoy using @FreeCAD a lot. Thanks a lot to the #FreeCAD folks! :)

This one is a joystick for my Amiga 500. I even managed to print the inner and outer plastic parts of the buttons. For the switches in the buttons I reused switches from buttons I had purchased.

I still need to do the bottom part of the body but, so far, I like the results.

Current status of the hops in the backyard. ^^
Another picture of the tube but with a better visible glow.
Played a bit more with a simple tube amplifier circuit. ^^
Does anyone have an idea what this dark shadow-like stripe is? Is it the shadow of the plane or its condensation/vapor trail? I think taking altitude and position of Sun into account it could match but I've never consciously seen this before.
Evolution of the first set of self-soldered guitar effects. Oldest left, newest right. The first one only included the Bazz Fuss. In the second I added a bf245a as some experiment, which didn't turn out as I liked. The third one combines the Bazz Fuss with an mpf102-based buffer with gain 1 as described in: http://www.hawestv.com/amp_projects/fet_preamp/fetpreamp2.htm This is sufficient to drive my headphones loud enough for my taste. I quite like the sound. :)
FET Preamplifier, part 2

Portable, JFET preamplifier for guitar or microphone. Sweet, tube-like sound, sustain. Graceful clipping. Easy to build. Get it working tonight! Schematic.

First attempt at squeezing a Bazz Fuss into a small case. The circuit is the v3 Bazz Fuss from: http://home-wrecker.com/bazz.html The case is self-designed with #FreeCAD This one works well with a speaker powered via a small tda2030-based amplifier. In the next version, I'd like to include some headphone amplification in the fuzz case itself.
Bazz Fuss fun

I'm happy that, so far, those who started donating to Mastodon seem to keep donating. Also note that this is only for Mastodon gGmbH and that many other Mastodon instances rely on donations too. So if one decides for donating it may be worthwhile to consider where.

Last year, I started to experiment with 3D-printing electrical guitars. One aim was to get them small and portable. Say, make them fit into a big back pack.
The first two designs were inspired by https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4260738
The others were designed from scratch.
All 3D models were done from scratch with #FreeCAD Thanks a lot to the developers of #FreeCAD and the other related tools. :)
(Now, I just need to get myself to practice way more instead of experimenting with building new stuff. xD)
