Not in a good place today. Feeling like my subdued, introverted personality is always disappointing people, even those close to me. Like, I'm sorry but my personality is what it is, for better or worse. If you can't deal with that, I don't know what to tell you, other than you should have a more open mind and a bigger heart. I have enough to deal with without trying to live up to what other people want from me. I just don't have the mental energy for that.

Really good point here about why calling someone a fascist for still being on Twitter/X is a disingenuous accusation on top of being verbal bullying: if they're fascist, you wouldn't want them here. Shooting off your mouth on Mastodon about how anyone still using Twitter is a terrible human being is not going to convince any Twitter user to use Mastodon. At best, they are on Twitter, and will not see it. At worst, they will be checking out Mastodon, and WILL see it. And they're not going to be convinced that Mastodon is a wonderful place where they'll fit in and be welcomed with open arms: their first impression, quite possibly before even signing up for an account, will be that they are already hated here. If you're castigating Twitter users in the course of arguing that anyone who applies for an account on your instance should be vetted to make sure they're not one of those awful Twitter users, well, I think you're an asshole, but at least that's logically coherent. Ranting that anybody still using Twitter is a fascist but also still exhorting them to join the Fediverse is obviously self-contradictory, unless you like fascists.

Just got my COVID booster shot and my flu shot, at Walgreens. Didn't have to pay anything out of pocket so it sounds like at least United Healthcare has already approved it. With COVID case numbers going up, I do wish the pharmacy staff had been wearing masks.
