Nostalgia works best when it's used as inspiration or reduced to a core fundamental rather than this hyper specific thing that we can only "yearn for". Yes, we will never return to renting N64 games from the blockbuster, but you can just play them and order pizza.

I haven't gotten a chance to talk about it yet but I think Google killing its search engine is maybe one of the best things that can happen. I think the web has been too compliant with their SEO bullshit and maybe we can get a more serious push back to webrings and stuff.
