@daringfireball There are some striking parallels between this analysis and the story told in the book Apple In China. At the end of Chapter 30:
"In total contrast to his earlier assumption that Apple might need to overhaul aspects of its China operations by establishing joint ventures, Guthrie realized that more than anything, Apple just needed to market what it was already doing."
