Senior Software Engineer, Jetpack Compose — Google Careers

A great talk by @py at DroidCon Berlin on "Embracing the Chaos: Investigating Production Madness".

I couldn't agree more that a lot of growth as a software engineer is all about understanding the root cause. So much of my Grade, JVM and other knowledge came from that.

It was also nice to see that I was able to help with the first USB issue that PY talks about.

@yiningkarlli on the X2D you get one whole point of AF and you can even move it! (With the touch screen only, ugh, it sucks)
@yiningkarlli I tried using A7s multiple times and never found joy in them, so I’m sticking to the M and I keep missing shots because of that. But that’s okay because it’s a hobby and I care as much, if more more, about the process than the actual results. That said I recently started using a Hasselblad X2D and I love its color science. Not too bulky either considering what it is. The AF is garbage though and I wish it was a rangefinder. I have as many focus misses as on the M…
@yiningkarlli Oh I agree wholeheartedly. I figured the Q3 43 was more for folks who don’t like the 28mm focal length (they’re so wrong though :) and not about owning both models.
@yiningkarlli autofocus 😅
