The Labour chairman of the Commons business and trade committee, Darren Jones, earlier came to Turner’s defence, saying: “The real question is: how can anyone know if a photo is a deepfake?
“I wouldn’t criticise Karl Turner for sharing a photo that looks real to me. What is your department doing to tackle deep fake photos, especially in advance of the next election? Let’s have that discussion."

We must, as fast as humans can, build, wind and solar energy to end the burning of carbon for energy, or we wont make it.
Carbon fuels are a systemic "remove life from planet" system.

the people's evaSlightly unfriendly reminder to a lot of the white people in Black people's replies when they are talking about racism:
If you are doing that thing where you reflexively push back against a Black person identifying an experience that they are having with white people by trying to say it isn't about race or something else is also a factor that isn't about a marginalized identity, you are part of the problem.
"It isn't about race, it's about politics!"
"It's not just white people doing it, others do it too!"
Stop. You have to stop doing this. Check your instincts and deal with your discomfort with race on your own time please. Don't try make us hold your hand, we've done plenty of that already.
I see this stuff almost every day I'm on here. Well-meaning minimization of someone else's struggles ain't helpful and it damn sure ain't good allyship.
