@petarov Yeah, I've seen some attempts at a stream-like API using iterators, but it's not the same, just a bunch of nested function calls, each returning an iterator. Not a terrible pattern, but very different feeling from Java streams.
@petarov that's a bit of an odd way to use it. `Collect` is intended to convert an iterator into a slice. While it's obviously possible to make an in-line iterator like that, it's not a common use, especially since you're already working with a slice.
@georgetakei If you're afraid of the consequences of doing your job in the open, then what you are doing is wrong.
What if you took the core abstractions of Plan 9 from Bell Labs and put them in a WebAssembly module?

@snonux The beauty of Go is that it's completely standalone. No need to use a specific version from your distro, because it wonโ€™t affect anything on your system. Always use the latest from go.dev/dl

Non political: why does that deserve a standing ovation? Good for him, but what??
Political: they'll stand up and clap for him, all while defunding scientific research, destroying healthcare and the EPA...
@snonux not soon! Now! go1.24 was already released last month.
Protests are not, and cannot be illegal in the United States of America. Our wannabe dictator does not get to ignore the first amendment to our constitution.
